WATCHMAN

For church safety teams

Every door covered. Every Sunday.

Watchman is the app that runs your safety team: who's on which door, who still needs to sign up, what happened last week, and who's trained for what. Built by a working church safety team, for church safety teams.

Group texts

One place for the whole team

Schedules, chat, reports and training live together, so nothing gets lost three hundred messages up a thread.

Sign-up sheets

Open spots you can see

The calendar shows every position for every service. Members claim a spot from their phone, and gaps stand out.

Memory

A record of what happened

Incident reports, a watch list and certifications are written down and searchable, not carried in one leader's head.

What's inside

Everything a safety team does in a week, in one app.

Watchman works in any phone's browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. Light and dark mode included.

Scheduling

Fill every post without chasing anyone.

Sign-up calendar

Add your services and events once, set them to repeat weekly, and list the positions each one needs. Members tap a day and claim a spot.

Buildings and positions

Describe your campus the way your team talks about it: buildings, doors, wings, the parking lot. Every event shows where people stand.

Automatic reminders

Thank-you emails when someone signs up, reminders 48 and 24 hours before a shift, and a nudge to the whole team when spots are still open.

Greeters without accounts

A public page where anyone can sign up to greet before either Sunday service. They get a reminder on Saturday, and the team sees their names.

Security

Know who to watch for and what happened.

Incident reports

Anyone on the team files a report from their phone in a minute: what, where, who was involved, and what was done.

Watch list

People to watch for or who are banned, with photos and running notes. Only the roles you choose can see it.

Intel

Leaders post briefings the whole team should read before Sunday: a threat in the area, a custody situation, a special event.

Equipment

Track radios, AEDs, first aid and bleeding control kits, where each is kept, and a wish list for what the team still needs.

Your team

The right people, with the right access.

Invite-only sign-up

Only people you invite by email can create an account. Share a QR code at the team meeting and they're in.

Roles and permissions

Start with Admin and Team Member, then add roles like Team Lead. Choose exactly who can manage events, see the watch list or read every incident report.

Team chat

Whole-team and one-to-one conversations with pictures, replies and reactions, plus phone notifications so urgent messages are seen.

Recruiting pages

Public "Join the safety team" and "Interested in serving" forms with printable QR codes. Answers come straight to your admins.

Running it

Built so a volunteer can be the admin.

Sign-up reports

See how often each member and greeter has served over 30, 90 and 180 days and month by month. Download as PDF or CSV.

Your church's name and logo

Set your church name, team name, logo and service times once. They appear on every page, public form and email.

Bug console

When something goes wrong, the app records it with the details needed to fix it, so you aren't guessing from a screenshot.

Bugs and requests

Members report problems or ask for features from inside the app, and your admins see them in one list.

Training and certifications

Twelve classes ready on day one.

Watchman includes a full starter curriculum written for church safety teams. Each class has slides, a script read aloud, practice questions and a final test.

  • Members take classes on their own time, on their phone, and pick up where they left off.
  • Passing a class adds its certification to the member's profile, with expiry dates you set.
  • Edit any class to match your church's policies, meeting points and state law.
  • Import a PowerPoint, and Watchman can write the script, questions and final test for you, with a picture for each slide. (Optional, uses an AI service billed by usage.)
  • Leaders see the whole team's progress at a glance.

Private by design

Your team's information stays your church's.

Watch lists and incident reports are sensitive. Watchman keeps each church's information separate and private, and only the people your admins choose can see it.

$10

Priced for church budgets

Plans start at $10 a month for up to 10 users. Greeters and volunteers who sign up on public pages are always free.

1

One church, one private space

Your members, reports and watch list are walled off from every other church by rules in the database itself, not just hidden on screen.

∞

Stays with the church

If a leader steps down, make the next one an Admin. The schedule, the history and the training records stay with the church.

Questions

Questions from safety team leaders

What counts as a user?

A safety team member with a Watchman account. Greeters and anyone who fills in the public "Join the safety team" or "Interested in serving" forms don't count, so you can recruit as widely as you like.

What happens if our team grows past our plan?

Move up to the next plan from the Admin page at any time, and the new price starts on your next bill. Nothing is lost while you decide.

What if a payment is missed?

Your admins see a reminder in the app as soon as a payment is late. You have 15 days to update your card before the team's access is paused. Nothing is deleted, and everything comes back as soon as the payment goes through.

Do we need someone technical?

No. There's nothing to install or host. If you can set up an email account, you can set up Watchman, and everything after that happens inside the app.

Who can see our watch list and incident reports?

Only people with permission. You decide which roles can view or manage the watch list and which can read every incident report; everyone else sees only the reports they filed. Data is protected in the database itself, not just hidden in the app.

Where is our data kept?

In a secure, encrypted database in the United States. Each church's information is kept separate by rules in the database itself, so no other church can ever see yours.

Can we change the training classes?

Yes. Edit any slide, question or test, add your own classes, or remove ones you don't need. The starter classes are written for any church and point you to your own policies wherever they matter.

Does it send text messages?

Watchman sends email today, plus phone notifications for team chat. Members choose which messages they get on their profile.

We have more than one building. Does that work?

Yes. Add each building, then give every event its building and positions. Separate campuses with separate teams can each have their own account.

What if our safety team leader changes?

Make the new leader an Admin, and they can take over the plan and billing from the Admin page. Everything your team has entered stays put.

Where do we get help?

Every plan includes help by email. Inside the app, members can report problems or request features on the Bugs & Requests page.

Set it up this week, and walk into Sunday knowing every post is covered.
